Have you already followed us on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In, shared our posts, contributed your own stories, but still want to do more? Do you believe that expatriate Greeks and their international friends can work together, eventually becoming part of the solution to the Greek crisis? Do you want to “be the change”, instead of just waiting to see it happen?

New Diaspora is a participatory media platform that relies on volunteer work to keep going. In order for us to produce and distribute original content, organise offline events and provide a networking hub for Greeks living abroad, we need all the support we can get. If you have experience in the following fields, please consider devoting a bit of your time to assist us in:
Audiovisual production. Having produced a handful of web documentaries with little financial support, we want to attract co-producing partners from the international documentary and crossmedia market, so we can carry on filming around the world. At the same time, we need to recruit filmmakers who can shoot interviews and B-roll footage for us, and we would also like to hire interns who can handle the bulk of our growing post production needs.
Content management. Our team already researches, schedules and posts a number of stories, but we still have a long way to go until we reach a steady content flow. We need journalists, editors, bloggers, translators, graphic designers and all kinds of creative people who can help us collect and present compelling stories to an international audience.
Fundraising. We are in the process of becoming a certified NGO, and we are planning to apply for a number of institutional subsidies and private sponsorships in order to cover our expenses. We also intend to raise money from donations and advertising.
Public relations. Your strong communication and networking skills can help us affiliate with a worldwide pool of groups, organisations, media channels and other potential allies.
Digital marketing. Too many tasks, too few people. We need experts in SEO, analytics, online ads and e-shopping for our web documentaries, t-shirts and other New Diaspora merchandise.
Social Media. Apart from posting on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In, we also have our Vimeo and YouTube channels to take care of, and we need help to expand to other social media platforms, such as Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. We also want to recruit “viral agents”, who will promote our posts wherever they are active in.
Web and app development. Can you take care of our website maintenance? Would you like to participate in a major redesign of our online presence? Create a cool app that will help Greeks abroad access our content more easily and discuss with each other?
